South River Resort is located 3 hours north of Toronto and in the south-east corner of Lake Nipissing, which is one of Ontario’s top fishing lakes. Muskie fishing is great with Monster Muskie over 30 pounds available. Walleye, Perch and Bass fishing is excellent. Walleye, Smallmouth Bass and Largemouth Bass are common in the 1.5 to 3 pound range with many bigger trophies being taken by our guests. Northern Pike are also common in many sizes up to 20 pounds. From time-to-time guests catch Northern Pike, which reach 25 pounds. We have clean and comfortable waterfront fishing cabins, which are well maintained and all have modern appliances. We also offer ice fishing for Walleye, Pike and Perch during the winter. We are a family owned camp with a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Happy Holiday Campground & Cottages is located a few minutes north of Temagami. They have lots of hiking trails and ATV trails for easy access into the bush for Ruffed Grouse, Spruce Grouse & Moose hunting. They do not have non-resident adult tags right now. Four Seasons Outfitters is a small and cozy family run outfitter on Big Pine Lake near Chapleau Ontario. Thay have tons of old abandoned logging roads, creeks and ATV trails. There are other lakes and streams within 10 minutes drive, which hold great Lake Trout and Brook Trout fishing.
